NEHA: Bringing Awareness to Air Quality

NEHA Celebrates National Public Health Week

If you value clean air to breathe in your house, place of work and school, then you have an environmental health professional to thank. NEHA is raising awareness about air quality and how environmental health professionals and policy makers make a significant impact on the air we breathe every day. For example, despite vehicle miles increasing by 172 percent over the last 45 years, the combined emissions from vehicles have dropped by 69 percent. This decline is attributed to environmental health advocates who work to change policy to save the lives of millions for generations to come.

NEHA aims to help people understand the impact environmental health professionals have on air quality and the public’s overall health. Check out the NEHA 2016 AEC and HUD Healthy Homes Conference, presented by Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, June 13-16 in San Antonio to see several educational sessions focused on air quality.
